Vijayashree is D/O of Somanna, whom we know from young age at Garadimane.

His mother, we use to call Ganga Chikkamma, a small figure.

Vijayashree and her Husband Raghavendra lives in Sanjayanagara.

During Navaratri days, people keep GOMBE, (Dolls) of various Gods, decorate, arrange  and perform pooja for ten days.

They had fine collection of Dolls which has been collected and then added every year.

We spent some time returned home.

NAVARATRI (2022) SAMBRAMA -2

Sharadamba Temple Jalahalli

It's third day of Navaratri and we decided to go to Sharadamba Temple at Jalahalli.

It was just 20 minutes drive from here and we found a beautiful, neat decorated temple with Chandika Homa in progress, with many decotees around.

We also joined the group watching the proceedings.

Very interesting device for pouring Ghee on homa, we saw for the first time.

Long wooden cylindrical stick wirh a metal cover at one end with a opening.

The chief priest holds the device slanted, at one ghee is poured. which falls on homa from the other end.Very interesting and safe.

After the POORNAHUTHI, there was Maha Mangalarathi.

The organizers (Temple Committee) were very polite and led us to second floor where Grand lunch was arranged.

It was feast wth Jelebi like sweet and payasa with usual items.

In the evening we went to Ganesha Temple at Shakaranagara and returned.

It was a good day with Devi ChandraGhanta in focus with blue colour.

Navaratri Festival began on Monday 26th September 2022.

Everywhere Festival mood for people, as many temples are celebrating after two years of COVID times, there was restrictions on crowding and celebrations.

ಗೋಸ್ವಾಮಿ ತುಳಸಿದಾಸ 

(1511 - 1623 ) Aged 112-113 years

ತುಲಸಿದಾಸರು ವೈಷ್ಣವ ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿ., ಕವಿ. ರಾಮನ ಭಕ್ತ .

ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಚರಿತಮಾನಸ, ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಚಾಲಿಸ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳು. 

ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಭಕ್ತನೊಬ್ಬ ಗೋಸ್ವಾಮಿ ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ...

"ನೀವು ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ರಾಮನಾಮ ಗುಣಗಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ವಾ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆಯಾದರೂ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ದರ್ಶನ ಆಗಿದೆಯೇ?"

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರು,

"ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದೆ!" ಎಂದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಭಕ್ತನು "ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೂ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮದರ್ಶನ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆಯೇ?" ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರು "ಯಾಕಿಲ್ಲ? ನಿನಗೂ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮದರ್ಶನ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ! ಅದು ಬಹಳ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ನೀನು ಈ

ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ನೋಡು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ರಾಮನೇ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾನೆ!" ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. "ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಸ್ವಾಮೀ" ಎಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದ.

ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ-"ನೋಡು, ಇದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಸುಲಭಸೂತ್ರ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರದೇ ಹೆಸರಿಗಾದರೂ ಸರಿ ಈ ಸೂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ರಾಮನ ಹೆಸರೇ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ!"

ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಕುತೂಹಲ, ಅಚ್ಚರಿ. ಯಾವುದು ಆ ಸೂತ್ರ? ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ.

ಆಗ ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ:

ನಾಮ ಚತುರ್ಗುಣ ಪಂಚತತ್ತ್ವ ಮಿಲನ ತಾಸಾಂ ದ್ವಿಗುಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ತುಲಸೀ ಅಷ್ಟಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯೇ ಅಂತ ಮೇ ಶೇಷ ರಾಮ ಹೀ ರಾಮ || 

ಇದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಯಾರದೇ ಹೆಸರಾದರೂ ಸರಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸು. ಅದನ್ನು ನಾಲ್ಕರಿಂದ ಗುಣಿಸು (ಚತುರ್ಗುಣ). ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಐದನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸು (ಪಂಚತತ್ತ್ವ ಮಿಲನ). ಆಗ ಬಂದ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ದುಪ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡು (ದ್ವಿಗುಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ). ಬಂದ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಎಂಟರಿಂದ ಭಾಗಿಸು (ಅಷ್ಟಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ). ಭಾಗಲಬ್ಧ ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಇರಲಿ, ಶೇಷ ಉಳಿಯುವುದು ಎರಡೇ. ಆ ಎರಡು ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳೇ "ರಾಮ"!

ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವೋ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ. ಮೊದಲು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು "ನಿರಂಜನ" ಎಂದು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳು ಇದ್ದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂತ್ರವನ್ನು

ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿದ. 4X4=16; 16+5=21; 21X2=42; 42/8= ಭಾಗಲಬ್ಧ 5. ಶೇಷ 2.

ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಹೆಸರು "ನಿರ್ಮಲಾ" ಎಂದು ಇದ್ದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂತ್ರ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿದ. 3X4=12; 12+5=17; 17X2=34; 34/8 =

ಭಾಗಲಬ್ಧ 4. ಶೇಷ 2.

ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳ ಹೆಸರು "ನಿಧಿ" ಎಂದು ಇದ್ದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂತ್ರ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿದ. 2X4=8; 8+5=13; 13X2=26; 26/8 = ಭಾಗಲಬ್ಧ 3. ಶೇಷ 2.

ತನ್ನ ಪಕ್ಕದಮನೆಯವನ ಹೆಸರು "ನಿಖಿಲಾನಂದ" ಎಂದು ಇದ್ದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂತ್ರ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಿದ. 5X4=20; 20+5=25; 25X2=50; 50/8 = ಭಾಗಲಬ್ಧ 6. ಶೇಷ 2.

ಹೌದಲ್ವಾ! ಹೆಸರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಎಷ್ಟು ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲುಳಿಯುವುದು ಎರಡಕ್ಷರ "ರಾಮ" ಮಾತ್ರ! ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಖುಷಿಯಾಯ್ತು.

ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರ ಕಾಲಿಗೆರಗಿದ. ಇವತ್ತು ನನಗೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದಿರಿ. ಇನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಾನು ರಾಮನನ್ನೇ

ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದ.

ಅಷ್ಟಾಗಿ, ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಸೂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಗಣಿತಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವ ಏನು ಗೊತ್ತೇ?

ಚತುರ್ಗುಣ = ಧರ್ಮ, ಅರ್ಥ, ಕಾಮ, ಮೋಕ್ಷ ಎಂಬ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪುರುಷಾರ್ಥ.

ಪಂಚತತ್ತ್ವ = ಭೂಮಿ, ನೀರು, ಅಗ್ನಿ, ವಾಯು, ಆಕಾಶ ಎಂಬ ಪಂಚಮಹಾಭೂತ.

ದ್ವಿಗುಣ = ಮಾಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ.

ಅಷ್ಟಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯ = ಅನ್ನ, ಅರ್ಥ, ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ, ಯೌವನ, ವೈಭವ, ಗೃಹ, ವಸ್ತ್ರ, ಆಭರಣ ಎಂಬ ಎಂಟು ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯಗಳು.

ಇವೆಲ್ಲದರೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಜೀವನಜಂಜಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಗುಣಿಸಿ, ಕೂಡಿಸಿ, ಭಾಗಿಸಿ, ಭೋಗಿಸಿ ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಉಳಿಯುವ ಶೇಷ "ರಾಮ"

ಮಾತ್ರ! ಜೈ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ್

ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ನೀ ಅಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ, ಮಡಿದಾಗ ನಿನ್ನವರು ಅಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ನಿನಗೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ತೊಡಿಸುವರು, ಮಡಿದಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರವ ಬಿಚ್ಚುವರು.

ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ  ಹುಡುಕುವರು ನಿನಗೆ  ನೂರೆಂಟು ನಾಮ,

ಮಡಿದಮೇಲೆ ಶವ ಎಂದೇ  ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮ. ನೀನೇನನ್ನೂ ಗಳಿಸದೇ ಬಂದೆ, 

ಮಡಿದಾಗ ನೀನು ಗಳಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಳದುಕೊಂಡೆ. ಓ ಮಾನವಾ..ಮಡಿದಾಗ ಮಣ್ಣಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಳಾಗಿ  ಹೊಗುವ ನೀನು

 ನಿನ್ನದು ಎನ್ನಲು ನಿನಗೇನಿದೆ, ನಿನಗೆ ಜನ್ಮ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರು,ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆಸರು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರು,  ನಿನಗೆ ಜ್ಙಾನ ಹೇಳಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರು, ಕಡೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ  ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದು ಕೂಡಾ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರೇ.

ನಾನು ಎಂದು ಅಹಂಕರಿಸಲು ನಾನು ಯಾರು ?  ಏನಿದೇ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ?

As we were in Basaveshwaranagara area for other purpose, we purchased some items required for home.

ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING 2022

Taralabalu Kendra Library, R.T. Nagara, Bengaluru.

The Annual General Body Meeting of Shivarama Karantha Vedike, R.T. Nagara, Bengaluru,  took place today 18th Sept.2022  at 3 pm.

The new President of Shivarama Karanth Vedike, Dr Deepa Phadke welcomed the members.

Shashikala, Secretary

The new Secreatary, Shashikala.C, read out the report of the activities of the year ending March 2022. which was approved by the members.

Mr Swamy suggested that sincere thanks must mentioned in the report to TaralaBalu Centre for using their Library and hall for the functions.

She also mentioned, the past President, Dr Nirama Prabhu and past Secretary Shrimathi Indira Sharan, resigned due to their personal reasons.

Also conveyed condolences to the family of Dr S A Seetharam, who passed away recently and prayed for his soul  to rest in Peace.

Mr Jayarama Somayaji, Treasurer, presented the audited report of Income-Expenditure for the year April 2021 - March 2022, which was unanimously approved the members.

Shivarama Karantha Vedike convey their sincere thanks to SharathChandra, of  Sharth and Co, Chartered Accountants for auditing the report. They are kindly been doing the audit every year.

Mr VeerashekharaSwamy, Vice President, Co-ordinated the proceedings and proposed Vote of thanks, after the discussion for the next year's activities.

The meeting ended at 4 pm
