It's India's 74th Independance Day celebrated throughout India and abroad.
Due to COVID19 pandemic, celebrations are very minimum, just the flag hoisting and short speeches.
Here at Coffee Board Park, Flag hoisting was done by Wing Cdr Muralidharan at 7.30 am in the presence of few people, mostly senior citizens.
The event was organized by Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Byatarayanapura Unit, with Renuka Hegde as President. It was a short function. After the Flag hoisting Wing Cdr Muralidharan spoke briefly about his experience in the Air force, and how they are moulded to love the country and waiting for any task/assignment given to them. He also expressed happiness about how the general public treat them and give respect.
Renuka Hegde, Cha. Ramesh spoke on the importance of Independance, paid tributes to people who fought for Independance.
Laddus were distributed to all present.
