SmitaPatil, one time a famous actor, known for art films, known for expressions, acting and natural presentations is being remembered by a group "Bhumika", by organizing FilmFestival on 8th, 9th and 10th April 2016, at three venues.

 We went for the inaugural function at NGMA, National Gallery of Modern Art, Bengaluru where conversation with Shyam Benagal, celebrity film director, and Smita Patils's father.

ShyamBenagal spoke at length about his experiences with SmitaPatil and her humane attitudes and her acting ability. Mr Shivajirao Patil, elderly gentleman, age 91 years inaugurated the Festival open.

Everyone talks about how great actor she was, how gorgeous she looked, how unfortunate she died so early, at the age of 29 yrs.

There was screening of SmitaPatil's "Bhoomika" at the venue and it was almost 3hour movie, woman trying to find her identity in the men dominated society. 

Thanks Bhumika for for organizing the event paying rich tribute to late actor.
