ಕಿರಗೂರಿನ ಗಯ್ಯಾಳಿಗಳು - ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಟಕ

Sunday 3rd April2016
KEA Prabhath RangaMandira, BasaveshwaraNagara
NammaBengaluru.

It was with a high expectations we went to watch Kannada Drama "Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu" at BasaveshwaraNagara, after watching the movie by the same name a week ago.

SCENES FROM THE PLAY
We were little disappointed  with stage presentation of the story by PoornaChandra Tejaswi.
It was presented with amatures and interested students of RangaVismaya group, who put in lot of effort to put up the play. The focus has shifted from "Gayyaligalu" to men of Kiraguru with long dialogues and ineffective acting. Lot of time is taken to set up the stage in between the scenes. Too many times the tagline tune was played.

ಕಿರಗೂರಿನ ಗಯ್ಯಾಳಿಗಳು....
ಸಿಡಿದರೆ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಗಳು....
KALAVIDARU
However, the interest and effort of the artists must be appreciated. It's difficult task to put people together and train with dialogues and presentation.
GLIMPSES FROM THE DRAMA

Shreeshail Paramashetti.Ashok Gowda, Siddaramu K D, Sharat Kumar, Jhadav, Phalgini N Das, Manjunatha K N
Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu is the theatrical version of the prominent Kannada writer, novelist, K P PoornaChandra Tejaswi's orginal work "Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu"
The play is all about the stories of some bold women from a small village Kiragooru, who protect their village. It is a beautiful blend of comedy, emotions, politics and not to ignore the superstitions of the village people. The innocence of the villagers to believe whatever is said by their "Guruji" (the person who does black magic). and the way these women kick them off is really remarkable. The way politicians use the caste system basically the divide and rule policy, is very well depicted in the play
