 Ooru Visit

18th Nov. to 01 Dec.2020 (14 days)

The visit was mainly to attend Engagement and Wedding of Ramakrishna and also to spend some time at the native place (ooru)

All preparations were done, plants are to be watered by Madhu, next door neighbour, asked Raghu Mohan as escort to drive the car.

Day 1: Wed. 18th Nov. 2020, After finishing bath and pooja, at 6 am, Raghu came and left Birthimane in BALENO car locked. Had breakfast, idli carried from home, near Dhruvatare Restaurant at 7.30am and proceeded to Hassan, Beluru.

Stopped over for an hour to see the beauty of Chennakeshava Temple, its architecture, grandeur, and other works of great people of those days.  

Proceeded to Sringeri, reached 1.45 pm, had Sharadamba Darshan, lunch in a hotel. Reached Hebri at 4 p,m, had coffee at Ramakrishna Achar then to Kadiyali, udupi at 6 pm. Reached Birthi Salekeri at 7 pm.

Day 2: Thur.19th Nov. Went to neelavara Temple for Darshana, special day called Panchami bath (Snana) and oota in the temple hall. Proceeded to Udupi Pejavara Mutt Hall for Ramakrishna's Engagement. After finishing the program, went to Udyavara and the Birthi.

Day 3: Fri. 20th Nov. To Udyavara, Naandi, Samavarthane, Kaashi yatre program at home.

Went to Udupi for payment of Manipal site tax, back to Udyavara for lunch. evening visit to Hoodi Bengre Beach, back to Udyavara and then to Birthi.

Day 4: Sat. 21st Nov. To GuruNarasimha Temple at Saligrama, Kartik's Beegara Outhana Oota at the wedding hall, back home and relax.

Day 5: Sun.22nd Nov. After visiting GaladaKatte and Honnala riverside, went Kadiyali for lunch at Vijayalakshmi House. Evening visit to Manohara Rao's house at Ambalapady and Jayalakshmi's house at Mayagundi. Back to Birthi.

Day 6: Mon. 23rd Nov. Lunch at Kittu's house at Mayagundi and visit to Antique house and  at 4 pm proceeded to Mangaluru, Vamanjooru to Subramanya Kordale housem at 6 pm. Stayed for the night.

Day 7: Tue. 24th Nov. 10 am left for visiting temple, first to Innoli, distance of 25 km, to Somatheshwara Temple on the hilltop, Beautiful location, on the banks of Netravathi river. Next was visit to an old, rejuvanated Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. Back to Vamanjooru, had lunch and left at 3 pm. Visted Prakash Acharya F/o Shreya Pittu with baby at Mangaluru. Then on the way back stopped over at Hosabettu, visited Jayalaskhmi/Murari and back to udyavara, coffee and Shyavige and reached Birthi at 8 pm.

Day 8: Wed. 25th Nov. Lunch at Home, afternoon visit to Kota, Padmanabha Sahasra house at Gundmi, then to Anegudde Temple for Darshan, visit to Sridhar Hande house, visit to Padukere Beach for seeing Blue water due to algae fish. Returned to Birthi.

Day 9: Thur. 26th Nov. Rishi came by bus in the morning, 8 am left for Bajpe, Mangaluru Airport to drop Shama and Anish, who were going to Mumbai. Visited Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple at Kateel,had darshan. Returned to Udyavara, Oota there and slept. Evening spent time, went to Aabhrana and bought some gold. Had dinner and returned to Birthi.

Day 10: Fri. 27th Nov. Early morning went to padukere beach to see the blue waves with Abhilasha, returned, had bath, pooja and breakfast and 8.30am at Pejavara Mutt wedding hall for Ramakrishna maduve. Grand celebrations and wedding procedure with dibbana, Exchange garlands, Kanya Daana, Sapta Padi, Mangalya Dharana and grand Oota. Returned to Udyavara, home coming of newly weds, dinner and some fun and returned to Birthi.

Day 11: Sat. 28th Nov. To Mandarthi at 12 noon for temple and oota at Ramachandra Udupa for Chandika Homa and socializing, returned to Birthi and slept. Evening went to Garadi Devi Temple, chatting at Mahabaleshwara Varambally and returned.

Day 12: Sun 29th Nov.: Early morning, again to Padukere Beach for viewing Blue waves in the sea and returned, then to Udyavara at 10 am, Satyanarayana Pooje, Aarthakashathe for the newly weds Ramakrishna-Kavana, grand oota at Shambukal Temple hall. Visited Pratibha, d/o Vittala Rao at Ambalapady, returned to Birthi.

Day 13: Mon.30th Nov. Visit to Kameshwara, Kapileshwara Temples and then to GM Vidyanikethana, Harady, chatting with the boss Prakash Shetty, visit around the school. Back home, lunch and sleep. Evening went Udupi, Laksha Deepotsava, some purchases and returned to Birthi.

Day 14: Tue, 1st Dec. Travelling to Bengaluru, after bath, pooja and breakfast left Birthi at 7.30 am, stop over at Kadiyali for food items, and drive through Hiriadaka, Ujre and then through beautiful Charmadi Ghat. Mom on story telling videos, and the about Environmental Pollution awareness. Reached Bengaluru at 5 pm with Rishikanth's fantastic, careful driving.

Everything well at home with so many days absence, Neighbour Madhusudhana helped for watering plants.

That was a long 14 days trip to lovely OORU, attending functions, visiting temples, meeting friends and relations.
