KOTILINGESHWARA TEMPLE

Kotilingeshwara Temple, Kammasandra Village, Kolar District.

From Bangaru Tirupati, we started off for Kotilingeshwara Temple, 10 Km away and 110 km from Bengaluru City on good road.

The presiding deity is Lord Shiva and has a huge, largest Linga, 108 ft (33m) tall, and Lord Nandi in front 35ft (11m) tall and lahs of Lingas all over the area of 15 acres.

The temple was constructed by Swamy Samba Siva Murthy and his wife V Rukmini in the year 1980, After his demise in 2018, his daughter son is taking care of the premises.

Shiva Bhakthas instal Linga according to their capacity since 1980, with aim of putting 1,00,00,000 (1 Crore) Lingas hence called Koti lingeshwara.

After 40 years, now the place has become tourist spot. Lot of people visit the place, facilities like car parking food court, games for children etc are good.

We spent more than two hours as there was heavy rush for Darshan at diiferent venues of the Deities.

Returned to Ravi's apartment by 7 pm and returned to Hebbal home by 9 pm.

We (Me Mom, Ravi & cute Urvi) left from K. R Puram at 9.30 am, having reached there at 9 am at Ravi's apartment. (Salarpuriia Satwa- Celesta)

After reaching there, we had to climb about 120 steps to reach to reach the Venkateshwara Temple, which is on the hillock.

The Murti of Bajaji is viewed through a small window and is called netra darshana. The belief is that darshan of Lord through this small window helps in attaining moksha.

Bangaru Tirupati, also known as Shri Venkataramana Swamy Temple, is located at Guttahalli in Karnataka and is dedicated to Lord Balaji. This Venkateswara Temple is one of the 108 Tirupathis in India. The temple is located around 25 km from Kolar and 100 km from Bangalore.

The legend associated with the Bangaru Tirupathi temple suggests that the place of temple is where Bhrigu Rishi performed penance and intense austerities. Bhrigu Rishi had kicked Vishnu in anger and Goddess Lakshmi had left Vishnu for tolerating the insult of Bhrigu Rishi.

Bhrigu Rishi who later repented his action performed austerities at Bangaru Tirupati. Srihari Vishnu is worshipped here as Ekanta Srinivasa – one without consort Lakshmi.

Another small hillock climbing about 50 steps, there is Padmavathi Temple

We had free Lunch (Prasad) by Temple administration, with Kichadi, payasa, Rice, Rasam, and Buttermilk, on neat and clean environment, along with other devotees. Served on banana leaf, on table and chair.

We left from there by 2 pm, proceded to Koti Lingeshwara.

ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ - 2024

ಕನ್ನಡ ಭವನ, ಕಾಫೀ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಬಡಾವಣೆ, ಕೆಂಪಾಪುರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಾಫಿ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭವನದ ಮುಂಬಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್, ಬ್ಯಾಟರಾಯನಪುರ ಘಟಕದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ 69ನೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ

ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ರೇಣುಕಾ ಹೆಗಡೆಯವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ 1956 ನವಂಬರ್ 1 ರಂದು ಭಾಷಾವಾರು ಪ್ರಾಂತಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಜನೆಗೊಂಡು ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡು, 1973 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಮರು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯ ಭಾಷಿಕರು ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ, ಬಳಸಿ, ಬೆಳೆಸಿ, ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಅನ್ಯ ಭಾಷಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದರು.

ತಾಯಿ ಭುವನೇಶ್ವರಿಗೆ, ಎಲ್ಲರಿಂದ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆಯಾದ ನಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
