The place is about 80 Km from Bengaluru, after crossing Doddaballapura.

Vidura (Sanskrit: विदुर, lit. 'skilled, intelligent, wise'), also known as Kshatri, plays a key role in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. He is described as
the prime minister of the Kuru kingdom and is the paternal uncle of both the Pandavas and the Kauravas.

It is believed that he planted Ashwath Tree during that time, and is recently became old and is only stem is there.

We were there for an hour and left for Lepakshi.
