Bheemehwara Temple, Near Kargal, Shivamogga Dist.
From Hongirana School (Sobha's Place) started off to Bheemeshara, a distance of 75 Km, which took by car about 90 minutes, as it is driving through Western Ghats.
From the main road, we have to go by rugged Jeep for 3 km, as there is only track, mud sludge and rocks.
After getting down from the Jeep, you walk up 100 steps to reach the temple.
The Archak at the temple, Subramanya, narrated the history of the place.
This ancient Shiva temple is an offbeat paradise nestled inside a cave within the Sharavati Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. It is famous because a 50-foot waterfall flows directly next to the deity and never dries up throughout the year.
After the Darashna at the temple, it was time to spend in flowing water.
Helping hand to walk down....
It was both adventurous and devotional trip to Bheemeshwari.
