RachenaHalli Lake, (Tank) Bengaluru.
The end of Gauri Ganesha Festival is the immersion (Visarjane) of the idols of Gauri and Ganesha worshiped for few days, that is from one to 7 or 10 days. The celebration of festival, both private and public comes to end with procession of idols with music and dance by people and size varies from small to huge. Some rich donors organize very huge idols, that require crane to carry for Visarjane.
BBMP has organized number of places to immerse Ganesha/Gauri idols and spread the awareness for not to use POP idols of Ganesha, as these do not melt and cause environment hazard.
We also participated in the immersion of Ganesha/Gauri idols of SuryaNarayana-Suma, house opposite to BirthiMane. The families carried the idols to Rachenahalli Lake (Tank) after pooja was given to BBMP people doing the job for immersion.
There were large number of people, Ganesha idols, POP Ganeshas after immersion, kept outside and huge Ganesha carried on a crane.
