The September 2019 program was organized on 1th Sept. 4.30pm at the Library of TaralaBalu Centre.

It was a lecture by Shri Aravinda Chokkadi, on "GANDHI - PARIKALPANE"

After the welcome by P. ChandraShekara Chadaga, General Secretary, Indira Sharan introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Deepa Phadke spoke briefly on Gandhi.

Shri Chokkadi spoke for more than an hour on Gandhi, before he became Gandhiji and Bapu, his idea on India, Satyaghraha, Secularism, interaction with British Government, his relationship with JawaharaLal Nehru, Sardar Patel, SubhashChandra Bose, Mohammed Ali Jinnah and many others.

Few people in the audience also asked questions and Chokkadi answered them all. One question was why Gandhi was so much in love with JawaharaLal Nehru? Why was Sardar Patel sidelined?
The answer  was not convincing  as he said may be Gandhiji had different perception of India.

The program concluded with concluding remarks by Mrs Nirmala Prabhu, who has been named President of the Vedike, as immediate past president Sri B V Kedilaya retiring.
