Near DevarayanaDurga, Karnataka
Naamada Chilume is a small natural spring water coming our the rock, near Devarayana Durga, about 55 km from Bengaluru. It is also deer park.
The word NAAMA means Tilaka and CHILUME meaning spring. The spring is situated in the base of rocky hill. It is believed that Lord Rama, during his search for Sita was in this forest and wanted to apply Naama on his forehead. Since he didn't find water, he shot an arrow into the ground and the spring opened from underground.
We had an hour's stop over at the place walking around the park, fresh air and greenery. Also spent some time near the deer park.
