There was news in the social media, which went viral, "Vidyarthi Bhavana" is coming to Malleshwara in Bengaluru.

People started asking about the address and location, only to find out that it was Vidyarthi Bhavana, Kannada Drama is, 4 shows at Chowdiah Memorial Hall in Malleshwara.

Vidyarthi Bhavana is popular South Indian Restaurant in Gandhi Bazaar, which started some 70 years ago as small canteen for serving food for students. It's dosa and coffee became very famous due to maintaining same standard for years and even now.

People who made names in their field, celebrities in their field used to come to this eatery and enjoy the food.

EATERY AT GANDHI BAZAAR

The Bangalore Theatre Foundation, stages "Vidyarthi Bhavana" Kannada Drama, playwright written by Rajendra Karanth and Directed by Arjun Kabbina with veteran stage artists like SihiKahi Chandru, Sundar and others.

All the four shows went houseful and people enjoyed the drama.

The story revolves around the Restaurant, its quality, how it was brought to present state with Arun Adiga,a young Software Engineer, taking care of the business.

The play continues with the story of Dosa (SihiKahi Chandru), and other famous people like T.P Kailasam, Nisar Ahamed, Narayana Moorthy, Y N K Moorthy, Dr. Rajkumar, Gopalkrishna Adiga, Ravi Belegere, C. Ashwath, visiting Vidyarthi Bhavana at various times and showing their accomplishments, dialogues and humour by proxy actors.

It was quite interesting, reminding about Kannada Heros, writers, poets and literary giants.

The stage set up was nice with hotel ambiance, people coming and going, kitchen etc and the atmosphere of restaurant.

90 minutes play was with live orchestra, good songs and lighting arrangement.

The show was a grand success with many serial actors, politicians celebrities attending.
