It is declared as natural heritage site by the Karnataka Government. and it is 13th highest peak of Karnataka.

Sri Mookambika Temple is about 75 km from Brahmavara,  We reached there previous evening, travelling by car from Bangalore.

Birthi Salekeri, near Brahmavar, our native place, where I was born and brought up and went to school.

Son, Rishikanth, after getting married to Kavitha in 23 May 2020, did not visit our native place, we call it Ooru, hence along with little Atharv, 21 months, were there at Ooru.

We also had Satyanarayana Pooja at home on 25th December and invited about 50 people for special lunch (oota)

At Kolluru, we also did a ritual called "ANNA PRASHANA" for Atharv, as it is believed to be auspcious in the presence of Sri Mookambika.

After a good darshan of Mookambika, inspite of heavy rush, after which we had lunch as Prasadam in the temple premises.

It was a pleasant visit and we left the place by 3 pm.
