That was first day of wedding celebrations of Medha-Girish.
It was traditional Haldi program, the bride&groom of rubbed with paste of haldi rasam powder for the health and longlife of the would husband-wife, by the all the close relatives and friends.
Haldi rasam, tel-baan or manjha is a pre-wedding ceremony performed a day or two before the wedding. Family members and friends playfully slather the bride and groom in a paste of turmeric, oil, and milk. In some customs, sandalwood, rose water, and gram flour are also mixed in the paste.
Traditionally, people come with yellow constume to participate in the program.
It was fun, laughter and merryment.
