After having heavy breakfast at Angkor Palace Resort, we left from the hotel at 8 am, with the guide, Mr Nivath, to places of visit.
The first was Angkor Thom, distance of 15 km from downtown, where there is Bayon Temple, in the middle of the site.
Thw Bayon is a well known and richly decorated Khmer temple in Angkor (now SiemReap), Cambodia, built in 12th Century, as official state temple of Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII
dedicated Buddha.
Bayon's most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and smiling faces on many towere, which jut out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak. It also has unusual combination of Mythological, historical and mundane scenes. It is the centrepiece of Jayavarman VII's massive program of monumental construction and public works, which was also responsible for the walls and Naga-Bridges of Angkor Thom, and the temples of PreahKhan, TaProhm and Banteay Kdei.

It was really tiring exercise to see the places, spent time up to 1pm
