We started of Bengaluru at 10.45 pm from KempeGowda International Airport on 24th Dec. and reached KualaLampur (Malaysia), at 6am, they being two and half hours ahead of us.
We were ushered at the Hotel lounge with a shawl and a welcome drink and proceeded to our rooms.
Day 2; Tuesday, 26th Dec. 2017, SIEM REAP After heavy breakfast at the hotel at 7.30am, we left with the guide in the air-conditioned car to visit the places.
We had a wonderful 7days/6 nights trip to Cambodia, tour organized by "365 Tours"
Raghavendra Bhat, Shubha, Lahari, Nalini Somayaji and my self booked for the tour in October. The flight was by AirAsia, from Bengaluru - KualaLampur - Siem Reap (Cambodia)

Day 1: Monday, 25th Dec. 2017, We waited in the airport till 1pm to catch the next AirAsia flight to SiemReap (Cambodia) at 3 pm. Cambodian Visa was issued on arrival. After some waiting for issuing visa for Lahari, due to validity of passport for less than six months, we reached our Hotel, Angkor Palace Resort Spa, by 5pm. Tour guide Mr Nivath present at the airport escorted us.

At 8pm, we went to Cambodian Circus, which was an amazing display of talent and energy of young Cambodians. Returned to hotel after dinner.

ANGKOR WAT, largest temple complex in the world,
ANGKOR THOM - 12c, was the last and most enduring capital city of Khmer Empire,
BAPHUON - the massive temple complex took 51 years to restore and it i claimed to be the world's biggest and largest jig saw.
TERRACE OF ELEPHANTS - was used by the King to view the victorius returning army.
TERRACE OF LEPER KING - the statue in this site depicts the Hindu God Yama.

Returned to hotel and had food slept.
Day 3: Wednesday 27th Dec. 2017 - SIEM REAP -Visited number of places, mostly old, damaged monuments.
BANTEY KDEI - 12 century, known as Citadel of Chambers,
SRAH SRANG - 10 century built as Royal bathing pool,
TA PROHM - 12 Century , the photogenic and atmospheric combination of teees grwoing out of ruins and the jungle surroundings made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors.
THOMMANON - Temple dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu, small but elegant temple.
PRASAT KRAVAN - 10 century, built of reddish brick towers.
MEBON - 10 century, stands on an artificial island dedicated to God Shiva/
PRE RUP - 10 century, the only temple built with combined brick, laterite and sandstone,
PRE KHAN - 12 Century, the temple is flat in design, with a basic plan of successive rectangular galleries around the Buddhist sanctuary, complicated by Hindu satellite temples and numerous later additions.
Day 4 : Thursday, 28th Dec. 2017 - SIEM REAP - Morning left for Kulein mountains, distance of 48 km, drive of 1 hour and 30 minutes. on the way, saw the villagers making sugar, and saw 1000 shiva lingas on the river bed, spring water point, Reclining Buddha, Waterfalls and a swim.
After lunch, proceeded to floating houses in the outskirts of SiemReap, boat ride on the TONLE SAP LAKE, witness the life of local people living in the floating villages for decades. And also saw a bar, shopping arcade on a floating vessel.
Back to hotel , dinner and sleep.
Day 5: Friday, 29th Dec.2017 - Checked out from the hotel at SiemReap, and after breakfast, left at 7.30 am, for Phonm Penh in an AC car with personal driver, distance of 320 km, and drive of 5 hours. The road was fairly good.
Reached SOKHA PHNOM PENH, 5-star massive hotel on the Mekong river bank, at 1 pm, also the Sangama of four rivers. We were net by the local guide Mr Vuthy (Cambodian)
Went for lunch at Hotel RedRose in downtown, and later went visiting Royal Palace, built in 1860's, complex of buildings for Royal residences of Cambodia.
Also visited SILVER PAGODA, houses 17th Century Baccarat Crystal Buddha among many other treasures. Returned to hotel, dinner and sleep.
Day 6: Saturday, 30th Dec. 2017 - PHNOM PENH - After breakfast at the hotel went visiting National Museum, Tuol Sleng Museum, a formal high school which was used as notorious security prison,
Visit the killing fields of CHEUNG EK, in the outskirts of the city, where Communist Regime PolPot killed thousands of innocent people from 1975 to 1979.
Returned to city, lunch at Coriander Restaurant after which went around Russian Market, Local Market and big Japanese Shopping Mall.
At 7 pm, we witnessed a beautiful local TRADITIONAL DANCE SHOW at the National Museum for an hour and returned to hotel for rest.
Day 7. Sunday 31st Dec.2017 - Last day of tour, checked out from the hotel at 7 am after heavy breakfast, left for SiemReap for catching flight back home.
Reached SiemReap Airport by 12 noon, after lunch at Tasty Asia, boarded AirAsia flight at 3 pm to Kualalampur, Malaysia, and reached at 6 pm (Local time). Waited until 9 pm to catch the next AirAsia flight to Bengaluru, leaving at 9 pm. Reached NammaBengaluru, KempeGowda International Airport at 10.45 pm, cleared from Immigration and customs, hired a Wuber taxi to BirthiMane, BhuvaneshwariNagar, and reached little after midnight, NewYear2018. thus ending wonderful trip to Cambodia,
