Tirumala Balaji Lord Venkateshwara Temple.
Tirumala Balaji Sri Venkateshwara Temple is 24 km from Tirupathi, on the Tirumala Betta (Hill) It takes about one hour, after the serious security check at the bottom of the hill.
First as we enter, we went to place where head shaving done, as some people offer their hair to Lord Srinivasa.
Ravi and daughter Urvi had their head shaved in 10 minutes, they took bath and we proceeded to the entrance of special darshan.
As I had booked earlier online for special darshan (Rs.300 pax) today, at 1 pm slot, we reached the entrance at 12 noon with hard copies of the booking and Aadhaar Cards.
Entry to the temple is in different phases. First, we have to walk a long distance inside a corridor and reach a place where on few counters, checking the Aadhaar and booking tickets. Huge rush, where people scramble to go to the counter.
After passing through, you reach a compartment, where a group of 100-200 people wait for their turn. When the gate is open, people rush to a corridor in a line, proceed with waiting, waiting and waiting at each stage.
When you reach the temple walls, again there a security check, and wait inside with a large group. When the rope is open, again people rush to get inside and eventually you have Darshan of Lord Venkateshwara (Balaji) radiating energy to worshippers and devotees.
It is only for few seconds you are there in front of Lord Venkateshwara, the volunteers pull you out. We spend some time inside, again with huge group walk outside at 5 pm and exit.
It is surprising that generally people are not tired and hungry.
It was 6 pm when we started driving back to Bengaluru, had some food at Radhe Hotel, on the way, and reached Celesta apartment at 11 pm.
We reached home with my KUV at 11.30pm
