ANOTHER VISIT TO GHATI SUBRAMANYA

 Tuesday, 25th June 2024

Ghati Subramanya, Near DoddaBallapura.

Subramanya Kordale, close family friend from Mangaluru was on a visit to Bengaluru.

We planned for a visit to Ghati Subramanya, a distance of about 60 km from Bengaluru.

Sri Subamanya Ghati, also written Ghati Subramanya, is a village in Doddaballapura Taluk in Bangalore Rural District of Karnataka State, India. It belongs to Bangalore Division. It is located 17 kilometres from Doddaballapura and 60 kilometres from the State capital Bangalore.

Lord Subramanya's form is that of a seven-hooded sn

ake and it is believed that this is the region where he vanquished Ghatikasura, the demon. The Ghati Subramanya temple is one of the most major spots for snake worship in Southern India.

We started at 9 am in the morning and reached before 11am, huge crowd of cars for parking, somehow managed to find some space near the temple.

Lots of people lined up for darshan, joined the queue, someone at the temple showed sympathy for me let me go to visit strainght and I had quick darshan and came out.
