GURUVAYUR
On the night of Friday, 6th Oct, in the Ambari AC sleeper of KSRTC bus, Mom(Nalini) and Kavitha (Atthe - Sose) with Atharv travelled to Thrissur, Kerala, reached next morning, then proceeded to Guruvayur to have darshana and Pooja.
They stayed in a hotel near to the temple, freshend up and visited the Temple.
The Guruvayur Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Guruvayurappan, a form of Vishnu, but popularly known as Krishna, located in the town of Guruvayur in Kerala, India. It is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus in Kerala and Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
The temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the young form of Lord Krishna, is also known as Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple. There are several legends attached to the temple and the most famous among them is related to Lord Krishna. Legend has it that Krishna set his charioteer, Udhava, to save Vishnu idol from being worshipped by him in Dwaraka.
PARTHSARATHY TEMPLE
The Parthasarathy Temple has an idol of Lord Krishna in the form the charioteer of Arjuna, which is also called Parthasarathy. According to a legend, this idol is believed to have been placed in this temple by Adi Shankaracharya. This temple has another famous shrine that is dedicated to Adi Shankaracharya. The structure of this temple is in the shape of a chariot with the many horses. The huge fortifications of the temple are adorned with various images.
